Miller’s Tug and Barge of Staten Island, NY has chosen MarineCFO’s V365 solution as the product to facilitate Subchapter M compliance. Miller’s operates three tugs performing long distance harbor towing, motion picture work, ship assists, barge assists and marine drilling.
Miller’s Tug and Barge chose V365 when their 25 employees expressed a need for more efficiency. Per Terry Demeo, General Manager of Towing Operations, “We were searching for a way to stay ahead of the Subchapter M and AWO RCP audits & boat requirements. We needed a method to insure timely reporting on qualification and regulatory demands. Existing efforts by all departments to document audits, and other necessary data required much follow-up and time out of our regular schedules to manage data across the departments. After reviewing other software packages, we quickly realized that V365 allowed us the control of knowing that our Subchapter M, AWO RCP and audit requirements were being tended to without worry.”
When asked what efficiencies Miller’s Tug and Barge has seen improved since the implementation of V365, Ms. Demeo stated that, “We have peace of mind that all regulations are being met, if items are missing we are notified in a timely fashion and the support staff for V365 has proved invaluable in helping us get up and running quickly.”
